The Red Onion Press Inc is pleased to offer for purchase a series of limited-edition folio books, containing illustrations by Bronislaw M. Bak originally produced as six slide films for Encyclopedia Britannica in 1963. Each of these Classic Medieval stories accompanied by 180 illustrations hand-printed on fine paper, are produced with permission from the artist’s estate and the stories under the terms of US copyright law in the replication of creative work it the public domain. Each edition, numbered and signed by the artist’s son is being hand-printed by Red Onion Press directly from the original hand carved blocks by the artist. The six classics of English Literature will be available after publication folio-bound and encased as a set.

These first edition illustrated stories will go for $500 plus tax after each publication date or $3000 plus tax a set after completion of the entire project.

A pre-publication offer of 20% off plus tax for each book in production can be ordered below. Customers who intend to purchase the entire series can reserve a set in advance by purchasing the latest book to be published in the series and by indicating below and subscribing to the Classics Project.  Estimated time to complete each book is six months. Under these terms, a customer will have the opportunity to purchase at the discounted price each book and receive an additional discount at the end of the project bringing the total discounted price to $2160 for the set.
